Real family photos aren't about everyone looking at the camera at once. They're about the in-between seconds — the squeeze on a shoulder, the giggle that breaks a posed line-up, the way your youngest leans in without being asked. That's what a Faithful family photoshoot is built to catch.
Faithful is an award-winning family photography studio in South-West Sydney, led by Marten and Dalia. Sessions run a relaxed 60–90 minutes, with just enough direction to flatter — then we let your family be itself. Toddlers who won't sit still, teens who won't smile on command, grandparents who only visit once a year: we've photographed them all, and every one of them belongs in the frame.
Choose our Main Studio in Glen Alpine, The George Center in Gledswood Hills, or an outdoor spot your family loves. Mum can add professional hair and makeup before the shoot, and every session finishes with a personal in-studio gallery reveal — where your Studio Collection (from $550) is curated together, image by image.
Good to know
Coordinated, not matching. Soft neutrals — beige, ivory, sage, dusty blue — with one or two gentle accent colours across the group photograph beautifully. Skip big logos, neon and busy patterns that pull the eye from faces. Lay everyone's outfit on the bed together the night before: if nothing jumps out, you've nailed it. Comfort counts too — kids who feel good in their clothes photograph like it.
The studio gives you beautiful, controlled light in any weather, and its contained calm is a quiet superpower with babies and busy toddlers. Outdoor sessions trade that control for golden-hour glow and room to run — perfect for families happiest mid-adventure. Not sure? Book around naps and meals — a fed, rested toddler is a cooperative one. Don't drill children to "behave" beforehand; sessions go best when they arrive expecting fun, and we build games into the posing so the genuine laughs do the work. For teenagers we keep direction light and the cringe factor low — relaxed walking shots and real prompts beat forced grins every time.

Either! Our most popular sessions are at our Glen Alpine studio (especially in cooler months), with outdoor options at parks across Macarthur and Camden for golden-hour family shoots.
Standard sessions cover the immediate family. Extended family sessions for larger groups are available — just let us know at booking.
We expect it and plan for it. Our family-session pace is built around toddler attention spans with snack breaks, silly games, and patience. You'll be amazed what we capture.
We send a styling guide once you book. The short version: avoid logos, coordinate palettes rather than match exactly, and bring an extra outfit per child.
Yes — our in-studio makeup is $120 and hair styling from $85, so you arrive camera-ready and stay present with your family.
60–90 minutes — time for full group combinations, individual portraits and candid play, without little ones running out of patience.
We think so — and so do the families who return year after year. Children change fast; a regular session builds a record that grows more precious every time you look at it. It's an heirloom, not a file.

Weekend sessions are our most requested, so book a few weeks ahead where you can — especially through spring and the lead-up to Christmas. Need something sooner? Call us and we'll do our best.
Your edited gallery is revealed in-studio within two weeks, with a minimum of 35 edited images per session — the final number is often higher and varies with each session.
